Tim Hanni
Board Member FlyersRights.org
Tim Hanni is the first North American in history to pass the coveted Master of Wine Exam. Tim is a chef by training and speaks all over the world about flavor balancing and why wine and food matching is a myth. Tim is known by the Wall Street Journal as “The Wine Anti-snob” and is celebrated worldwide as a “flavor maven”. Tim speaks before the Monell Insitute in Japan on molecular gastronomy and is known worldwide as a gregarious expert who’s time has come! Tim worked at Beringer Wine Estates for 12 years as Director of International Accounts and during his tenure there he conducted studies on PH balance of airline passengers when flying, and related it to the Finnair menu’s when designing the types of food and wines people would enjoy while flying which are quite different than the types of food they enjoy on the ground, largely due to stressors involved with air travel and a change in PH balance due to that stress!
